Culture and Martial Arts Festival – A Friendship Bridge between Poland and Okinawa

Our Foundation aims to organize a unique Culture and Martial Arts Festival to bring together children and youth from Poland, Okinawa, and other European countries. This event seeks to create a space for mutual understanding, showcasing skills, and sharing cultural heritage in an atmosphere of cooperation, friendship, and mutual respect.

During the festival, participants will have the opportunity to showcase their skills in traditional Okinawan martial arts, such as Shorin-ryu, Goju-ryu, Uechi-ryu, and other native Okinawan karate styles, as well as Okinawan Kobudo. Joint training sessions, demonstrations, and workshops will provide an opportunity to refine techniques and, establish international friendships and exchange experiences.

The festival is also a unique opportunity to showcase the cultural richness of each participating country. Children will have the chance to demonstrate their traditions, costumes, dances, and music and share stories about their history and heritage. In this way, the event will become a bridge connecting different cultures, promoting mutual understanding and respect.

For children from outside Poland, the festival will also be an opportunity to discover the beauty and richness of the nature, culture, and material heritage of the Nowy Sącz region and Małopolska. Sightseeing tours, visits to historical monuments, and meetings with local artists and craftsmen will allow foreign guests to immerse themselves fully in Polish culture and tradition.

The festival's goal is not just about competition, as in sports events. It's about building an international community based on shared values such as humility, self-awareness, perseverance, and respect. In the spirit of mutual exchange and cooperation, the festival aims to inspire young participants to further develop both in martial arts and in creating a better, more united world.
